The City of Toronto's Live Green program and RBC Blue Water Project

LiveGreen is the City of Toronto's program to get residents involved with groups and businesses that are helping to create a greener, more sustainable Toronto.

In addition to promoting environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and conservation within the City’s internal operations, the Environment & Energy Division:

  • develops and implements environmental and energy policies, projects and programs that promote sustainable development and the growth of the green economy;
  • provides research and policy expertise;
  • establishes and leverages partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • delivers tools and resources to engage Toronto residents and businesses in adopting sustainable lifestyles and business practices.
Kidoons created a video with the City of Toronto's LiveGreen program, in a special art contest called "Make A Splash!", funded by RBC Blue Water Project. Students across Toronto were asked why waterways were important to them. The winning entry was a video created by Adrienne Rigler's grade 4-5 class at Ryerson Community School. The class not only won $5000 from RBC Blue Water towards a green project at school, but their video was adapted into this Grandfather Frog episode by Kidoons!
